At Spruce Lodge, we know how important it is to stay connected. Time spent with family and friends plays a vital role in the comfort, well-being, and happiness of those we serve. We welcome visitors as an important part of our community and our commitment to person-centred care.

When to Visit

There are no set visiting hours; family and friends are welcome throughout the day and evening.

If you arrive after the doors are locked, simply ring the doorbell and our team will be happy to assist you.

Where You Can Visit

Visitors are welcome to spend time:

  • In resident rooms

  • In our common areas and lounges

  • In our outdoor courtyard spaces (unless closed for the season)

For those wishing to share a meal together, our fireplace room can be reserved; for enjoying takeout or a special visit together.

To help us maintain a safe and comfortable environment for everyone:

  • Please sign in at the front entrance when you arrive

  • If you are feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you visit at another time

  • Hand hygiene stations are available throughout the home; please use them frequently

  • Masks and protective equipment may be recommended during periods of illness or outbreak

A Few Helpful Guidelines

At times, we may need to adjust visiting practices to help protect residents, staff, and visitors.  At a minimum during outbreaks, visits will be limited to one resident only and visitors will not be permitted to participate in gatherings.

We will always do our best to:

  • Keep visits possible where it is safe to do so

  • Provide clear guidance through posted signage

  • Support meaningful connections, especially for those who are very ill or receiving palliative care

During Illness or Outbreaks

We are committed to balancing a warm, welcoming environment with the safety and well-being of everyone in our home.

If you have any questions or need support during your visit, our team is always here to help.

Our Commitment

“Visits matter. Thank you for being part of our community.”
