On May 20, Spruce Lodge held its annual Long Service Awards, a special evening dedicated to recognizing the people who make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents each and every day.
This event is an opportunity to pause, reflect and say thank you to team members for their dedication, hard work and commitment to caring for those who call Spruce Lodge home. This year, we were proud to celebrate team members who have reached service milestones ranging from 5 years to 40 years, as well as those celebrating their retirement.
Each milestone represents years of compassion, teamwork and service. We are incredibly grateful for the care and commitment shown by our staff and for the positive impact they continue to make throughout the Spruce Lodge community.
Recognizing Our Life Enrichment Team Members
A special congratulations goes out to two valued members of our Life Enrichment team who received Long Service Awards this year.
Charlotte was recognized for 5 years of service. We are so grateful to work alongside Charlotte and to share in the joy she brings to residents, team members and the Spruce Lodge community as a whole.
Julie was recognized for an incredible 20 years of service. Julie is a wonderful example of leadership, dedication and what it means to support others with care and compassion. We are thankful for the many ways she continues to make a difference.

Honouring the Jim Henry Award Recipient
Each year, the Jim Henry Award is presented to someone who exemplifies the spirit and values of the Spruce Lodge community through kindness, dedication and a commitment to putting people first.
Established by longtime supporter Jim Henry, the award honours those who help make Spruce Lodge a caring, welcoming and connected community.
This year, the Jim Henry Award was presented to Steven Schultz, a resident and volunteer whose kindness and positivity are felt by many.
Steven, thank you for your caring heart, your volunteer spirit and the friendly smile you bring each day. You remind us that making a difference does not always require a title. Sometimes, it simply means showing up with kindness, generosity and a willingness to help others.

Thank You
To all of our Long Service Award recipients, retirees, volunteers, staff members and community supporters, thank you.
Your dedication helps make Spruce Lodge a warm and welcoming place to live, work and belong. We are grateful for the difference you make each and every day.
